Thank you for your interest in the Ohavi Zedek community. The following materials are intended to introduce you to the wide range of programs and services offered at Ohavi Zedek, or "OZ". Whatever your background or interests, we hope that you will find ways that our synagogue community can support you in your Jewish life.

We invite you to learn more about the community by coming to synagogue events and services. Our Friday evening service, which begins at 6:00pm and usually lasts less than an hour, is a joyous and musical welcoming of Shabbat. It is casual and child-friendly, and always ends with Kiddush and challah. The Saturday morning service, which begins at 9:00am and usually ends by 11:30am, is more traditional. It takes place in the large sanctuary and includes the Torah service and Rabbi's sermon. The Kiddush afterward can be anything from delicious baked goods to a full, sit-down luncheon. Either way, there are plenty of opportunities to mingle, chat and share a few moments of Shabbat with friends.

We encourage you to check the OZ website for upcoming synagogue events, or call 802-864-0218. From Chanukah parties to Simchat Torah celebrations, to discussions about current events and lectures by renowned speakers, there is always something engaging happening at OZ. There are also numerous learning opportunities for community members from all walks of life.

Ohavi Zedek Synagogue is a conservative/egalitarian congregation. With more than 400 families, both traditional and non-traditional, we are a growing community always seeking new members. We pride ourselves on our commitment to traditional Judaism, while rejoicing in our diversity and inclusiveness.
