February 6...Three Stars on the Hill
6:00-8:00pm...Waterman Memorial Lounge, 85 S. Prospect St., Burlington
Join us for our last and most spiritual Three Stars on the Hill as we carry the light of Shabbat into a new week through song, chant, and mystical teachings led by Rabbi Jan Salzman. Havdallah is to the end of Shabbat what Kiddush is to the beginning: Marking a transition between our experiences of time. We take the two candles that are separated on Friday night and weave them back together as Shabbat ends, symbolically weaving ourselves back into our week of being in the world. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share. Bagels provided. This event is sponsored by OZ and UVM Hillel. For more info, call Molly at 864-0218 x22

Thrift Barn now open...
Mon-Fri 10:30am-3:00pm and Sundays 11:00am-3:30pm

We are always looking for household items, such as pots and pans, casseroles, dishes, silverware, and household items, that make an empty apartment a home. All items should be in reasonably good condition. When donations are sorted, all clothing which is torn, has broken zippers or is stained is discarded. We want to respect others by offering clothing which we would wish to wear ourselves. Also welcome at any time are NEW cleaning supplies (sponges, dishwashing liquid, Windex, lestoil, etc.) and NEW personal hygiene items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, etc.). Although regular sizes are preferred, sample or travel sizes, such as those given by hotels, are also welcome. Questions, please email Anouk, or call her on 864-0218 ext. 21.
