Hadassah book group

The Sara Frank Chapter of Hadassah book group in Burlington, VT  meets monthly to discuss books with Jewish content and relevance.   Meetings are informal and held at each others’ homes on the first Monday of the month.  All are welcome to join for interesting discussions, tasty snacks, and socializing.   Note that the book group is hosting, via Skype, April’s author, Lynda Schuster.   Schuster is a gifted, engaging story teller, vividly describing socio-political upheavals and events with great understanding, compassion and wit.  She intertwines the personal and professional with pathos and humor making for an informative and highly entertaining read.  You will have the opportunity to ask Lynda Schuster questions about her writing and experiences.      For more information call 802-865-2329 or email [email protected].

SYNOPSIS-  A memoir of a former foreign correspondent for the Wall Street Journal who covered Central and South America, the Middle East and Southern Africa.  Her writing has appeared in the New YorkTimes Magazine, The Atlantic and other publications.  Dirty Wars chronicles Schuster’s time covering foreign wars and as the wife of a U.S. ambassador.  It begins and ends in Israel.
