Services are held Sunday-Thursday evenings at 7:00. Ohavi Zedek’s minyan is traditional and egalitarian. Mincha and Maariv are recited at evening services when the services begin before dark\, only Ma’ariv is recited once we reach the point in the year when services start after dark.\nIf you are planning to attend a service to recite Kaddish please contact Cantor Steve to let us know so we can make sure there is a minyan present.

SUMMARY:Poetry of the Land; Hebrew Poems in Translation
DESCRIPTION:In the Torah\, the land itself is given a shabbat every seven years called “sh’mitah”.   This past year has been such a year.  To honor the year of Sh’mitah that is coming to and end\, to to honor Elul\, Rabbi Small and Rabbi Edleson will lead four sessions to explore modern Hebrew poems (in translation) that honor nature and the land.   The class will culminate with a dinner and poetry reading in the Sukkah.  The first three classes will be held on ZOOM\, all are welcome; and no Hebrew required;.The final event will be in person in the Sukkah\, place TBA.
