DESCRIPTION:YOU ARE INVITED \nTO \nA SERVICE OF LAMENT \nThursday\, July 3rd @ 2:30PM\, Statehouse Lawn\, Montpelier\nHosted by the VIA Affordable Housing and Homelessness Organizing Committee \nWe are heartbroken\, discouraged\, and angry. \nOn July 1st\, 2025\, over 950 Vermonters – including over 300 children and more than 140 very medically vulnerable adults – were expelled from shelter by the State of Vermont\, without any provision or plan for their health\, safety\, or dignity. \nAs fellow citizens\, we feel a profound sense of responsibility and helplessness in the face of such immoral and cruel treatment of our unhoused neighbors\, who are being punished simply for lacking shelter in a time when shelter is unavailable. \nWe invite you to gather in grief\, solidarity\, and moral witness. \nJoin us for a 30-minute Service of Lament\, led by clergy and leaders of Vermont Interfaith Action. We will honor our shared sorrow and outrage – and listen for the strength and courage we need to move toward action\, justice\, and a Vermont where everyone is housed. \nPlease join us. Stand with us. Mourn with us. \nMove forward with us.

SUMMARY:Minyan (Online Evening)
DESCRIPTION:Ohavi Zedek offers regular minyan services to meet the worship needs of our community and especially to aid those members of our community who are reciting Kaddish in memory of a recently deceased loved one or on a Yahrzeit. Services are held Sunday-Thursday evenings at 7:00 on Zoom. Ohavi Zedek’s minyan is traditional and egalitarian. Mincha and Maariv are recited at evening services when the services begin before dark\, only Ma’ariv is recited once we reach the point in the year when services start after dark.
