But for obvious historical reasons there is great interest in Jewish life\, as well as antisemitism\, in contemporary Germany. \nAlan Steinweis\, Professor of History and Raul Hilberg Distinguished Professor of Holocaust Studies at the University of Vermont\, will share his insights into that subject based on his extensive experience living in Germany and teaching Jewish history and the history of the Holocaust at several German universities. \n  \nPlease Register Here to Help Us Plan \nNote on Another Talk that Might Interest You: \nHitler‘s Rise to Power from the Perspective of 2025 \nThe University of Vermont Miller Center for Holocaust Studies is sponsoring a talk by Professor Benjamin Hett of Hunter College who will speak on “Hitler’s Rise to Power from the Perspective of 2025.” The talk will be given on Tuesday\, September 30th at 7:00 pm in Memorial Lounge of the Waterman Building. SUMMARY:Minyan (Online Evening)
DESCRIPTION:Ohavi Zedek offers regular minyan services to meet the worship needs of our community and especially to aid those members of our community who are reciting Kaddish in memory of a recently deceased loved one or on a Yahrzeit. Services are held Sunday-Thursday evenings at 7:00 on Zoom. Ohavi Zedek’s minyan is traditional and egalitarian. Mincha and Maariv are recited at evening services when the services begin before dark\, only Ma’ariv is recited once we reach the point in the year when services start after dark.
