SUMMARY:L’Dor V’Dor: What’s Next at OZ?
DESCRIPTION:Discover. Connect. Belong. \nJoin Us for One of Two Special Evenings! \nMonday\, November 9 | 5:30–7:00 PM \nTuesday\, November 10 | 5:30–7:00 PM\nOhavi Zedek Synagogue \nA festive reception with abundant food\, wine\, and conversation! \nJoin us as we explore the next chapter of Jewish life at Ohavi Zedek – and help shape what comes next. \nOZ is already a place where people pray\, experience meaningful ritual\, learn\, celebrate\, find friendship\, and build community. Through the L’Dor V’Dor Campaign\, we have an opportunity to build on these strengths and create even more meaningful experiences for congregants of all ages and stages of life. \nMost importantly\, we want to hear from you! \nThe central focus of these evenings will be generating ideas from our community about how OZ can bring greater value to the lives of our congregants. What new programs\, experiences\, and opportunities for connection would make OZ an even more vibrant\, engaging\, and meaningful part of your life? Your ideas will help shape our future. \nWe’ll also share plans for our building and endowment\, provide an update on the campaign’s progress\, and explore how these investments can help bring our community’s ideas to life. \nThese gatherings are part of our L’Dor V’Dor fundraising effort. We’ll celebrate the generous donors who have already moved the campaign forward and invite every household to consider a personally meaningful gift or pledge. There is no expectation to decide that evening. \nCome for the food and wine. Bring your ideas. Help shape the future of OZ. \nPlease RSVP so we can plan for your participation. \n  \nRSVP – Choose Your Evening

SUMMARY:Minyan (Online Evening)
DESCRIPTION:Ohavi Zedek offers regular minyan services to meet the worship needs of our community and especially to aid those members of our community who are reciting Kaddish in memory of a recently deceased loved one or on a Yahrzeit. Services are held Sunday-Thursday evenings at 7:00 on Zoom. Ohavi Zedek’s minyan is traditional and egalitarian. Mincha and Maariv are recited at evening services when the services begin before dark\, only Ma’ariv is recited once we reach the point in the year when services start after dark. We also hold Sunday Shacharit at 8:45 AM in person and on Zoom. \nIf you are planning to attend a service to recite Kaddish please fill out this form to let us know so we can make sure there is a minyan present. \nClick here to access the Weekday Siddur Lev Shalem used during our evening Minyan services. \nZoom link is below under the heading ‘Website’. \nPlease make your full first and last name viewable on Zoom\, so we know who you are and can admit you. \nResources: \nWhen Should I Say Kaddish for Yahrzeit? \nThe Mourner’s Kaddish: A Memorial Prayer in Praise of God by My Jewish Learning \n  \n
