Individual tickets will be available in January as space permits. \nPurchase your pass now and read about the program and guest artists on KlezKanada’s\nsite: https://klezkanada.org/year-round/yiddish-culture-jam/ \nTaking place in the heart of Montreal’s Mile End neighbourhood from February 26 to March 1\,\n2026\, the Yiddish Culture Jam is a heymish weekend-long event with a special focus on\ncontemporary Yiddish cultural creation and cross-cultural collaboration. \nThe program will showcase and explore the tremendously rich outpouring of new Yiddish art\nand performance being created today and offer creative skill-building workshops. Alongside this\nfocus on new work\, the program will highlight the rich tradition of cultural exchange in Yiddish\nculture by connecting with our neighbouring cultural communities and cultivating spaces for\ncollaboration. \nThe Full Program Pass grants access to three workshops each day\, two evening\nconcerts\, a special shabes evening community meal\, and additional programs available\nonly to pass holders. \nAs some workshops have limited capacity\, pass holders will be given the first opportunity to\nreserve space in limited-capacity programs.

DESCRIPTION:A fundraiser for humanitarian aid in Israel and Palestine. A partnership between communities\, volunteers bake and sell bread in the community kitchens to benefit these medical relief organizations: \nUnited Hatzalah: first responders in Israel\nPalestine Children’s Relief Fund: medical care for children in Gaza and West Bank \nOur goal is to partner with a diverse groups of interfaith congregations on this project. This date will include Ohavi Zedek and Burlington Friends Meeting\, as well as other invited local congregations. If your house of worship church\, synagogue or mosque is interested in participating\, please contact us. \nBread (challah\, pita\, gluten-free oat) will be baked in the OZ kitchen from 12pm – 6pm and available for pick-up in the evening or the following day in Burlington or Richmond. It explores how historical narratives about the Holocaust are reshaped\, minimized\, or selectively reinterpreted in public discourse\, politics\, education\, and law. Particular attention will be paid to the interaction between state-sponsored memory policies\, nationalist narratives\, and scholarly research\, as well as to the pressures faced by historians and educators. Join us for an important and supportive conversation designed to help parents navigate these moments with confidence and care. Therapists and educators will attend this conversation as resources. \nREGISTER HERE \n\nChaiLights gatherings will give you a chance to learn\, taste and connect. \nEach gathering will start off with food and open conversation\, followed by a unique experience that will engage and inspire\, let us create and improve the world. \nThis project’s vibe is fun\, social and low-pressure\, with activities lead by community volunteers.
