DESCRIPTION:As you know\, the OZ Village Committee is exploring ways to support and enable our congregation’s older adults to live safely and comfortably in their own homes as they age. Since social programming has emerged as a path to fulfill those goals\, the OZV coffee klatch team is continuing to sponsor a series of “klatches” featuring delicious food\, talks on relevant topics\, and lively conversation. \nThis program is free but does require pre-registration here. BRING YOURSELF-SHARE THE COMPANY! \n“How shall a person act in a time of trouble? What ought a person do so that they not perish in their afflictions?” [R’Shai Held; Hadar Institute]. \nJoin the OZ Village Coffee Klatch presentation and pot luck lunch at the home of Rebecca & Mike Strauss-Sherlock as Rabbi Ariel Ya’akov Dunat guides a discussion of the hope\, compassion and faith that consoles and steadies us in times of great pain and loss. \nSuggested reading:\n1-“Theodicy: the Problem of Evil” by R’Ariel Ya’akov Dunat [available from Rabbi Ariel]\n2-“The Guest House” by Rumi [describes the mystery of both good and evil in the world\, various online sources] \nRabbi Ariel’s bio:\nOhavi Zedek’s Rabbi Ariel has been deeply engaged in communities across the U.S. and Israel—as a prayer leader\, teacher\, and volunteer.
