SUMMARY:Shabbat Morning Services
DESCRIPTION:Our Shabbat morning service is traditional egalitarian with new melodies and kavannot (spiritual intentions) introduced and incorporated. \nFollowing services\, we often host a Kiddush – a lunch donated by synagogue members or b mitzvah families\, where all are welcome. Saturday morning services begin at 9:15 AM. \nOur morning service will feature our Shabbat Village: \n– An intentional place for families\, children and anyone to schmooze and be together during the time of Shabbat services \n– No pressure to join in the service (though of course all are welcome to attend as much or little as works for you) \n– Families may access the playground\, gardens and trails \n– Everyone is invited to the kiddush (meal) afterward (when applicable) \n– Children’s books and a video feed of services will be provided. Currently\, children will need to be accompanied by their adult(s). Parents may choose to team up – it takes a village! \nTorah Study typically takes place at 8:30 am before services. Check our calendar for details.

SUMMARY:Friday Night Shabbat with UVM Hillel at UVM's Davis Center (No Services at OZ This Evening)
DESCRIPTION:Ohavi Zedek’s two clergy and community\, along with two other local congregations\, will join Hillel students at UVM’s Davis Center for a 6:00 pm service followed by an oneg (dessert) catered by Vermont Kosher.. \nIf congregants are interested in bringing food gifts to students\, they may bring store bought\, packaged items. \nA note on parking: \n \nThe Davis Center is on the far left\, and parking extends to the right. There are no “free” or “visitor” parking spots\, but UVM Parking stops enforcing at 6pm\, which is when the service starts. \nThere’s a large circle with parking spaces next to the Davis Center. Folks with mobility issues should head for this area. On the far right\, there’s a large multi-part lot\, which would be good for folks without mobility restrictions.
