His work includes the picture book\, Pumpkin Shivaree\, a collection of poems\, Crow Milk\, and the anthology\, Under the Legislature of Stars: 62 NH Poets. His poems have been read and anthologized by Garrison Keillor on The Writers’ Almanac and in Great Poems American Places. DESCRIPTION:Ohavi Zedek offers regular minyan services to meet the worship needs of our community and especially to aid those members of our community who are reciting Kaddish in memory of a recently deceased loved one or on a Yahrzeit. Services are held Sunday-Thursday evenings at 7:00 on Zoom. Ohavi Zedek’s minyan is traditional and egalitarian. Mincha and Maariv are recited at evening services when the services begin before dark\, only Ma’ariv is recited once we reach the point in the year when services start after dark. A partnership between communities\, volunteers bake and sell bread in the community kitchens to benefit these medical relief organizations: \nUnited Hatzalah: first responders in Israel\nPalestine Children’s Relief Fund: medical care for children in Gaza and West Bank \nOur goal is to partner with a diverse groups of interfaith congregations on this project. This date will include Ohavi Zedek and Burlington Friends Meeting\, as well as other invited local congregations. If your house of worship church\, synagogue or mosque is interested in participating\, please contact us. \nBread (challah\, pita\, gluten-free oat) will be baked in the OZ kitchen from 12pm – 6pm and available for pick-up in the evening or the following day in Burlington or Richmond. DESCRIPTION:Linda Kelliher Samets of Charlotte\, Vermont\, and New York\, New York\, passed away peacefully in Lincoln\, Massachusetts on December 9\, 2025\, following complications from recent surgery. A beloved wife\, mother\, sister\, artist\, horsewoman\, and friend\, she was 79. \nLinda was born on March 8\, 1946\, in Lowell\, Massachusetts. The fifth of nine children\, she attended Concord-Carlisle High School\, where her artistic gifts emerged. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt)\, which nurtured her creativity and helped set the course for her career and life. After college\, Linda worked at an advertising agency in Boston before moving into a graphic design role at WGBH. \nFull Obituary here \n\nFamily and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Linda’s life on Sunday\, January 18\, 2026\, at 1:00 PM\, followed by lunch at 2:00 PM. \nPlease RSVP for lunch \n\nIn lieu of flowers\, contributions in Linda’s memory may be made to Ohavi Zedek Synagogue\, a community she valued deeply\, or to the Graham Equestrian Center.
