DESCRIPTION:Please join us for morning services\, followed by a special kiddush sponsored by Linda Avitan\, her daughter and son-in-law\, Ronit and Marc Alexander.  The kiddush is dedicated to the fifth yartzeit of Linda’s father\, Norman Brotman\, which takes place a week later. His ancestors were among founding members of the congregation. \nIn addition to being connected to our congregation as a descendant of a founding family\, Linda visited our community a few years ago\, and is a friend of Rabbi Amy’s from Women of the Wall in Israel. Linda is a leader in her Conservative affiliated congregation in Rechovot\, Israel.  Previously\, Linda spoke to us during a shabbat service regarding Women of the Wall. We welcome her and her family this Shabbat!

DESCRIPTION:OZ member and artist\, Michael Strauss\, is hosting a guided Life Drawing session in the yurt! \nThis event will take place July 25th and August 15th\, 1:00-3:00 pm.\n \nNote: July 25 is full. \nA life drawing is a drawing of the human figure from observation of a live model (the model will be clothed). Some drawing experience is helpful. Medium will be charcoal or graphite or ink pen. Participants will bring their own equipment and supplies. \nIf inside the yurt\, masks\, shots and boosters are required. \nRegistration is required and space is limited.
