DESCRIPTION:Our next singing event will be part of the Tikkun Leil Shavuot event June 4.\n\nSong lifts us up\, provides community\, nourishment\, joy\, revolution of the heart.\nWe are delighted and excited bring our singing community together. Our hope is to again gather and sing regularly.  We remain very open to input; we want to design the music we learn and share around what the group as a whole is most called to. \n\nWe will meet at Ohavi Zedek Synagogue’s yurt\nWe’ll establish a regular pattern that works for those who wish to be involved.\nWe will have tunes\, melodies\, songs! Participants will also learn of opportunities to take action to ensure passage of the amendment\, and to address the larger question of how to dismantle systemic racism in many forms. The first three poems are very short; the Williams poem is several pages. We will read several Amichai poems\, some short\, some modest\, none long. Poetry\, death\, loss\, finding: all will be our focus. No knowledge of poetry is needed: These are all\, all\, accessible poems. They tell us a lot\, and are enjoyable to read.
