SUMMARY:OZ Book Club - I Made It Out of Clay by Beth Kander
DESCRIPTION:The OZ Monthly Book Club meets monthly and welcomes adult readers. Book selections are determined by the group\, with topics that are related to Jewish themes and concepts. Join these casual discussions about the book. \n \nI Made It Out of Clay by Beth Kander \nWith her younger sister’s wedding rapidly approaching\, Eve is on the verge of panic. She can’t bear to attend the event alone. That’s when she recalls a strange story her Yiddish grandmother once told her\, about a protector forged of desperation…and Eve\, to her own shock\, manages to create a golem.

SUMMARY:Sunday Afternoon Yoga with Jess
DESCRIPTION:Gentle movement. Mindful breathing. Community. \nTake a moment each week to care for yourself. \nJoin instructor Jess Shevitz Rauch for a welcoming Sunday yoga practice designed to help you slow down\, reconnect\, and begin your week with intention. Whether you’re newer to yoga or have practiced for years\, you’ll be invited to move at your own pace in a supportive\, non-judgmental environment. \nEach 45-minute class includes gentle movement\, mindful breathing\, and guided meditation\, with options offered throughout so you can honor your own body and comfort level. After class\, those who wish are invited to stay for tea or coffee and informal conversation—a chance to connect with one another and build community. \nThis is not a fitness class focused on pushing your limits. It’s an opportunity to practice self-care\, cultivate presence\, and simply come as you are. \nEveryone is welcome. \nWhat to Expect \n· Gentle\, accessible yoga for all \n· Mindfulness and guided meditation \n· Standing and seated options throughout the class \n· Time afterward for conversation and connection \n· Bring a yoga mat if you have one (a limited number may be available) \nSuggested Contribution \nTo make the class accessible to everyone while supporting the program\, participants are invited to choose the amount that best fits their circumstances: \n· $5 – Community Rate – for those who would benefit from a reduced cost \n· $10 – Standard Rate – the typical cost of attending \n· $15 – Supporter Rate – helps make lower-cost participation possible for others \nAbout Jess: Jessica Shevitz Rauch is a 200-hour trained yoga teacher who completed her teacher training at Laughing River Yoga in 2021 and has continued her yoga studies since then. Jess approaches yoga as an opportunity for self-care\, mindfulness\, and connection\, creating a warm and supportive practice where participants are encouraged to come as they are and move in ways that feel right for their bodies.
