See this article for more information. \nJoin hosts Adele\, Lani and Mitch and a friendly friendly group of people that gathers periodically on Zoom or in person to enjoy the folkdances of Israel! \nWe mostly dance around a circle so no partner is required. SUMMARY:Fourth Annual Pride Seder 2025
DESCRIPTION:Our fourth annual Pride Seder is a ritual that chronicles the liberation of LGBTQ+ people\, much like the Passover Seder\, which retells the story of the liberation of the Jewish people. \nRegister Here \nJoin a diverse gathering of Vermont LGBTQ+ Jews\, Jew-adjacent folks and allies to celebrate our coming out of bondage with songs\, prayers\, and an unusual and poignant seder plate. People of all ages are welcome. \nEvent History: The first Pride Seder took place in 1995\, using a Haggadah written by Ray Schnitzler and Susie Kisber\, of the Berkeley Queer Minyan.  Copies of the Haggadah travelled to B’nai Jeshurun in New York\, Sha’ar Zahav in San Francisco and many other communities around the world. Under cover of the night\, she flees from her parents’ communal apartment in 1930s Moscow to the 20th century’s first Jewish state\, Birobidzhan\, on the border between Russia and China. Once there\, Regina has to grapple with where preconceived notions of socialism and Judaism while asking herself the eternal question: What do we owe each other? How can we best help one another? While she contends with these queries and struggles to help Birobidzhan establish itself\, love and war are on the horizon.
