Along the way\, you’ll enjoy an activity that’s great for both your body and your brain. \nWhether you’ve danced for years or are taking your very first steps\, you’ll find a warm\, encouraging community ready to welcome you. \nNo partner or previous experience is needed. New dancers are encouraged to arrive at the beginning of the session\, when we’ll introduce the basic steps before gradually building to more advanced dances throughout the evening. \nJoin hosts Mitch\, Lani\, and Miriam and a friendly group of dancers who gather twice each month in person and weekly on Zoom. \nFree to attend. Optional $5 donation appreciated. \nInterested but can’t make this session? For those who wish to contribute to dinner\, here is an optional food sign-up. \nThe gathering will be indoors\, but weather permitting\, we will be outdoors. \nPlease register early to help the hosts prepare. The class ends in time to join the congregation for the Torah service\, hear Rabbi Ariel’s weekly d’var Torah\, and stay afterward for our community Kiddush lunch. With the High Holidays just around the corner\, it’s also a wonderful way to become more comfortable with Jewish worship before the holidays arrive. \nRabbi Carol Harris-Shapiro\, an Ohavi Zedek member who spends summers in Vermont with her husband Jon\, is a retired rabbi\, author\, educator\, and former professor of Contemporary Jewish Studies at Gratz College. She brings decades of experience helping people explore Jewish life and worship. \nNo prior knowledge is needed—just curiosity. This program is offered at no cost; optional donations are appreciated.
