We will have some cushions as well. \nAttend just one or all classes; participants are invited to OZ’s kiddush lunch after the class. \n  \nREGISTER HERE \n\nAbout our leader:\nZac is a mindfulness teacher\, father\, beekeeper\, and Senior Lecturer at the University of Vermont. At UVM\, he teaches courses on ecology\, environmental justice\, mindfulness\, and honey bee culture. He teaches mindfulness with the Burlington Dharma Collective\, Barre Center for Buddhist Studies\, Cambridge Insight Meditation Center\, Inward Bound Mindfulness\, and elsewhere. He began meditating twenty years ago\, inspired by a vision of personal and collective liberation\, and has spent thousands of hours in meditation and hundreds of days on retreat since. Zac celebrated his Bar Mitzvah at Congregation Beth Shalom in Missouri and now\, many years later\, lives in Winooski with his partner\, son\, and tens of thousands of honeybees. What is this text doing in the middle of Yom Kippur\, and how can it guide us as we reenter our regular lives after the final shofar blast of Ne’ilah?” \nThis discussion will be led by Suzanne Griffel\, a rabbi in Chicago who will have the good fortune to spend Yom Kippur in Burlington this year. \nThis gathering will take place in the Yurt.

DESCRIPTION:OZ member and artist\, Michael Strauss\, is hosting a guided Life Drawing session in the yurt! \nThis event will take place July 25th and August 15th\, 1:00-3:00 pm.\n \nNote: July 25 is full. \nA life drawing is a drawing of the human figure from observation of a live model (the model will be clothed). Some drawing experience is helpful. Medium will be charcoal or graphite or ink pen. Participants will bring their own equipment and supplies. \nIf inside the yurt\, masks\, shots and boosters are required. \nRegistration is required and space is limited. This event is free for OZ members. The cost for non-OZ members is $10 per person. To register\, please email michael.strauss@uvm.edu to get on the list! \n
