As the High Holiday season draws to a close, we gather for one of Judaism’s most joyful celebrations. Simchat Torah—“Rejoicing with the Torah”—marks the completion of our annual cycle of Torah readings and the immediate beginning of a new one.

The heart of the evening are the hakafot—seven joyful processions with the Torah scrolls. Rather than remaining seated, the congregation gets up to sing, dance, circle the sanctuary, and celebrate together. Everyone is invited to participate, whether you dance every hakafah or simply clap and sing along.

This year, the celebration will be powered by an 11-piece live band led by Marty Fogel, bringing even more energy to the singing and dancing throughout the evening.

Whether Simchat Torah is a beloved annual tradition or completely new to you, this is one of the easiest nights of the year to simply jump in and be part of the joy.

Everyone is welcome. Everyone belongs.
