Three years after October 7, we will come together for an evening of remembrance, healing and hope — remembering those we have lost, reflecting on how these years have affected us, listening to one another, and looking toward the future.

Come at 5:00 pm for hors d’oeuvres and time to gather; the program begins at 5:30 pm.

Joining us will be Myriam Darmoni Charbit, an Israeli peace worker and educator who shared the High Holidays with our community in 2023. When October 7 happened, Myriam and her family were here in Burlington, far from their home in Israel, and OZ became part of how they experienced the days that followed.

Now back in Israel, Myriam’s work includes bringing Jewish and Palestinian Israeli women together in what she calls “small experiments of peace.” She returns to Burlington to share some of what she has experienced and learned — and to help us listen, reflect and hold onto hope.

This will be a participatory evening, with stories, conversation, communal art, prayer, music and singing. Together, we will remember, make space for the different ways these years have affected us, and create something together.

Participate in whatever way feels right — through conversation, art, prayer or song — or simply be present.
