OZ Village Coffee Klatch – “The Magic Portal of Jewish Artists”
Tuesday, July 21 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

As you know, the OZ Village Committee is exploring ways to support and enable our congregation’s older adults to live safely and comfortably in their own homes as they age. Since social programming has emerged as a path to fulfill those goals, the OZV coffee klatch team is continuing to sponsor a series of “klatches” featuring delicious food, talks on relevant topics, and lively conversation.
Please join us at our next coffee klatch and vegetarian potluck at Ellen and Paul Gittelsohn’s home with a talk about Jewish artists presented by Mike Strauss entitled “The Magic Portal of Jewish Artists”.
Michael Strauss was a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Vermont for 35 years. Retiring in 2003 and building upon his lifelong interest and study of art, he has since been teaching drawing and painting at UVM and other educational settings in Vermont. His major interests now include drawing to learn and artistic expression. These ideas are summarized in his book “The Mind at Hand – What Drawing Reveals” (Brownwalker Press).
This program is free but does require pre-registration here. Bring yourself and a vegetarian dish to share!
All Are Welcome!
OZ Village’s vision is to create a vibrant community of older adults who remain in their own home and age with dignity, purpose and camaraderie through mutual support, social engagement and Jewish values.
