Third Annual Pride Seder 2024
September 11 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Our third annual Pride Seder is a ritual that chronicles the liberation of LGBTQ+ people, much like the Passover Seder, which retells the story of the liberation of the Jewish people.
New This Year: More Family Friendly Start Time!
Join a diverse gathering of Vermont LGBTQ+ Jews, Jew-adjacent folks and allies to celebrate our coming out of bondage with songs, prayers, and an unusual and poignant seder plate. People of all ages are welcome.
If you would like to help out or be a reader, please leave a comment when you register via the link below or via this LGBTQ+ interest form.
Event History: The first Pride Seder took place in 1995, using a Haggadah written by Ray Schnitzler and Susie Kisber, of the Berkeley Queer Minyan. Copies of the Haggadah travelled to B’nai Jeshurun in New York, Sha’ar Zahav in San Francisco and many other communities around the world. We look forward to adapting this Haggadah for our first Vermont event.
The Vermont Pride Seder comes 3 days after the Vermont Pride Festival Parade which takes place Sunday September 8.

This program is hosted by OZ’s LGBTQ+ Chavurah.
Also – join us as we march at the Pride Parade and at our Pancake Breakfast on September 8.
