The centerpiece of OZ’s campus is our mid-century synagogue building. Built in 1952 as ‘the modern Jewish Community Center,’ the building includes classrooms a large social hall (origonally a gym with basketball court and lockers), a stage, two sanctuaries (or large sanctuary and our Samuelson Saiger Sanctuary), a modern kosher kitchen and offices.
Read this article post about the building with photos, which suggests is is the first one designed by a woman. (We’ve not been able to confirm this.)
