Glass Bead Jewelry Making With Pat

An Adult Learning Program Hosted by Pat Reisner

Have you wanted to make jewelry but weren’t sure how to start? Do you want to make a special gift for someone – or for yourself?

Come explore this creative medium.  By the end of this three-part series you will have a lovely eye glass chain and a beaded bracelet, and you’ll be ready to make more!  If there is interest, future classes will be scheduled. In person.

Pat Reisner, an OZ member has been designing, creating and selling a variety of glass bead jewelry for 25 years, and has taught this skill to many different groups and individuals.

  • Part 1: Introduction to beaded jewelry (2 hours): This session will cover required materials and types of bead designs and methods. Participants will also make an eye glass chain.
  • Part 2: Beginning your bead project (2 hours): In this session three different beading designs will be taught and practiced. You will receive a kit with all the materials (string, beads, stop bead, needle, bead holder and cloth) to begin to make your project in class and continue at home.
  • Part 3: Finishing your bead project: (2 hours): In this session you will bring your almost finished bracelet and will learn to add the clasp, and possibly edging.
