Dr. Timi Mayer is the Robert R. Churchill Professor of Geosciences, and the former director of the Rohatyn Center of Global Affairs and of the Program in International and Global Studies at Middlebury College.
She studies the construction of national identity, especially as it relates to stateless peoples (Jews before the creation of the state of Israel, Palestinians, and China’s Uighur population).
