Rosh Hashanah Day 2 Family Service – Kids (6-12)

Sunday, September 13 @ 10:00 am - 10:30 am

Rosh Hashanah is a time to reflect, celebrate, and begin again. This interactive family service invites elementary-age children and the grown-ups who love them to experience the Jewish New Year through music, storytelling, prayer, discussion, and hands-on activities that bring the themes of the holiday to life.

Together we’ll explore ideas like kindness, gratitude, forgiveness, and new beginnings in ways that are engaging for children while creating meaningful moments for the whole family.

At Ohavi Zedek, we believe children belong at the heart of Jewish life. Questions, conversation, laughter, and participation are all part of the experience. Following the Family Experience, everyone will join the congregation in the Main Sanctuary for a shared portion of the High Holiday service, bringing our entire community together.

What to Expect
Music and singing
Interactive storytelling and discussion
Age-appropriate prayers and blessings
Hands-on activities and participation
Time together with the larger congregation

The Rosh Hashanah Family Experience is free for all families. We do ask that you register in advance so we can prepare enough space, materials, and supplies for everyone. If you’re also planning to attend one of our Main Sanctuary High Holiday services, please complete your High Holiday registration at the same time.
