The Elder Journey (Hybrid) – Writing About Our Lives
January 23 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Our journey through the autumn of our lives provides an opportunity for reflection. In this series we will use writing and reading to consider how we each arrived at this point in time and what shaped us to be the people we are today. We’ll examine the roads we’ve taken, where we are now and how we got here. Each participant will then identify a particular time, event or aspect of her/his life to be the core of their writing. We’ll focus on memoir writing, but each participant can choose the best vehicle for them – poetry, memoir, essay, etc.. If there is interest, additional sessions will be added. Facilitated by Pat Doherty. PLEASE BRING a blank writing notebook and your favorite pen or pencil.
This is a hybrid class (attend in person at OZ in the library OR on zoom) with four TUESDAY sessions every other week, 10-11:30 AM.
