Yoga in the Yurt – High Holy Days
September 10, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 10:50 am
Yoga in the yurt is a series of three Sunday morning gatherings that combine yoga and Jewish learning. It’s a great way to connect your body, mind, and soul as we prepare to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
Dates include Sundays August 20, 27 and September 10th (The 10th is OZ’s open house too!).
This shorter than usual (50 minute) session will include mindfulness breathing exercises, slow flow yoga, and includes Peggy leading a light group discussion related to High Holy Days.
- This is a multi-level yoga class perfect for beginners and experienced yogis.
- Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, a yoga mat (and a yoga block if you have one).
- No Hebrew or background knowledge is required.
- We’ll meet in the yurt beyond the main building.
Like any good Jewish yoga class, bagels will be provided after class.
There will be a standard exercise waiver you will be required to sign to participate in the yoga class.
Space is limited to twelve per session. We encourage attendance of the whole series, but you are welcome to sign up for individual sessions that fit your schedule.
Cost is free, with optional donation to help support OZ programming.
Yoga in the yurt will be led by community member Peggy Price, RYT-200, and creator of Yoga Body, Jewish Mind.
This event is part of OZ’s Open House.
