Yom Kippur invites us to pause, reflect, and think about the kind of people we want to be. This interactive family service invites elementary-age children and the grown-ups who love them to explore the themes of Yom Kippur through music, storytelling, prayer, discussion, and hands-on activities.

Together we’ll explore what it means to say we’re sorry, make things right, show kindness, express gratitude, and begin again. Children and adults will learn side by side, creating meaningful conversations and memories that can continue long after the holidays.

At Ohavi Zedek, we believe children belong at the heart of Jewish life. Questions, conversation, laughter, and participation are all part of the experience. Following the Family Experience, everyone will join the congregation in the Main Sanctuary for a shared portion of the Yom Kippur service, bringing our entire community together.

The Yom Kippur Family Experience is free for all families. We do ask that you register in advance so we can prepare enough space, materials, and supplies for everyone.
