An Introduction to Hebrew Reading for Adults
Want to begin to read Hebrew? Want to brush up on your skills? Join with Rabbi Aaron, Cantor Jessica and Lani Ravin to learn how to read Hebrew and in particular key words and prayers. This series will also deepen your understanding of the prayers and the Israeli cultural context.
We are planning two series:
1. An 8-week series of weekly classes for beginners.
2. A 4 to 6-week series of weekly classes for more advanced readers.
At the end of each series, students are invited to participate in a Shabbat service and help lead a prayer.
WHEN: Tuesdays at 7:30 – 8:30 PM; On Zoom; in Winter or Spring 2024/2025.

About Lani Ravin: Growing up, Lani attended a Hebrew-speaking day school in New York City. She then lived in Israel for 17 years — learning, living and speaking in Hebrew. More recently she started to study Arabic, discovering the common language roots with our wider Semitic family.
