ChaiLights – One Jewish Thing Disucssion
November 6, 2022 @ 9:15 am - 10:30 am
FreeThis weeks program is a discussion called “One Jewish Thing.”
Judaism can appear to be an overwhelming system of a million things to know and do. This learning program will help make it be just one thing at a time. Come explore your “One Jewish Thing” that is most important for the joy of Judaism. Join others in casual group and chevruta (partner) discussions lead by OZ Hebrew School parent Lisa Glass-Kornstein, and we’ll all take a step on our Jewish journey. Like all ChaiLights programs, no level of jewish knowledge or background is required. Bagels & coffee will be served at 9:15 am and the discussion will take place at 9:30 am to 10:30 am – in the small Sanctuary.
Program Background:
This fall, OZ will be serving bagels, coffee and tea, with fun/social group experiences for adults!
Beginning September 11th, ten weekly ChaiLights gatherings will give you a chance to learn a little, taste a little, share a little, maybe even schvitz (sweat!) a little while connecting with others.
Each gathering will start off with food and open conversation, followed by a unique experience that will engage and inspire, let us create and improve the world. This project’s vibe is fun, social and low-pressure, with activities lead by community volunteers. Its a great fit for Jews, Jewish-adjacent and those who are just curious.
Thanks to a program sponsor, individuals or couples who sign up by September 7th and attend at least 3 dates will receive a Hanukkah Kit (worth over $50) for free.
